Wednesday 9th to Sunday 13th June 2010
The summer tried a little harder for the week of the half-term holiday although it ended here with torrential rains and thunder claps. The forecast for the coming week is not particularly good so I shall restrict my reading to those forecasts that predict sunshine and fair winds!
Incidentally, I learnt recently that our sister club in Cowes has an identical flagpole to ours - both bought by an enterprising Tiny Mitchell in 1951 from the site of the Festival of Britain when it was all over. Now who told me that?
