We have some exciting news to share....

The Corinthian Otters have been noticed as a standout feature of the Club and will be awarded with an RYA Certificate of Commendation.

The club itself didn't quiet make the shortlist for winning RYA Club of the year award, but the Corinthian Otters did us proud.

It is an absolutely HUGE achievement, not only to receive it and get the thoroughly deserved recognition that all those involved help to achieve but frankly because the Corinthian Otters are the ONLY junior club to even be mentioned at the Club of the year awards!

The RYA looked at the Otter & Club website and social media activity to get a feel of what was being achieved. We all know the work that goes on to keep everything running smoothly but at this years awards that was finally recognised. The commendation  was awarded on the years’ work of everyone, so not just race winners, but on the whole spirit of what the Otters strive to achieve together with their parents and the RCYC as a whole.

The excerpt from the RYA Letter itself is below.

Their social media presence and young committee was felt to be vibrant, accessible and in touch with their membership, as well as being inviting and inclusive to those that are new to our sport.

The Commodore of the Otters, has been invited to attend the RYA Dinghy Show in March 2019 to receive the RYA Certificate of Commendation and we are sure she will have a fabulous time.
